ROCKET RESEARCH

PARENT/COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Both our Dodgen Foundation and Dodgen PTSA have shown extraordinary support for the Library Learning Common with financing and a wealth of volunteers!
Our cheerful battalion of PTSA parent volunteers are indispensable extra set of eyes as we serve an average of 116 students from 8:15AM every morning. PTSA parents supported us once again as liaisons to coordinate the STEM high school presentations and as parent supervision for our first-ever student-led STEM Night.
Not only did PTSA supply volunteers, but they assisted in clearing our student wish list for new library titles with a $1500 grant and provided funding for STEM Night supplies that we'll be able to use for years to come.
The Appropriations Committee (sponsored by both PTSA and Dodgen Foundation) granted our Library Learning Commons $6000 to replenish our outdated nonfiction and over-loved fiction titles, to fund book repair items (like our Cover One "book toaster" to repair broken books) as well as technology items (like drones) and supplies for our Makerspace at the start of the year. As our Makerspace grew in use, the Dodgen Foundation earmarked funding to continue the support of the Makerspace, which allowed us to purchase clear storage to keep our space organized!
